EAC job types

  • Application Replace. Installs applications from a replaced device on its replacement. This job is triggered by automated processes, such as meter swaps. This job has the long retention category (expires after 365 days).

  • Install. Installs an application or application license. Installation jobs can be triggered by automated processes, such as meter swaps. This job has three subtypes:

    • Full Install. Downloads and installs an application, and installs an application license. This job has the long retention category (expires after 365 days).

    • Download Only. Downloads and installs an application, but does not install an application license. This job has the long retention category (expires after 365 days).

    • Install License. Installs an application license. This job has the long retention category (expires after 365 days).

  • Ping. Ping a device. This job has the short retention category (expires after 60 days).

  • Purge Application. Removes application licenses and stops applications. This job is triggered by automated processes, such as device deprovisioning. This job has the long retention category (expires after 365 days).

  • Start. Starts an application. This job has the medium retention category (expires after 120 days).

  • Stop. Stops an application. This job has the medium retention category (expires after 120 days).

  • Uninstall. Uninstalls an application. This job has the long retention category (expires after 365 days).

  • Update AppServ. Updates the ApplicationServices (AppServ) installed on a device. This job has the extra long retention category (expires after 5 years).

  • Update License. Updates an application license installed on a device. This job has the long retention category (expires after 365 days).

  • Update Status. Checks a device's status. This job has the short retention category (expires after 60 days).

  • Upgrade Version. Upgrades an application version. This job has the long retention category (expires after 365 days).
