Configuring linear interpolation estimation routine

Add this estimation routine to an estimation set and enter a Routine ID. The Routine ID must be unique for each routine in the estimation set. Configure the following parameters:

ClosedMax Range to Interpolate

Defines the maximum span of data to interpolate. Enter the value in hours and minutes in the following format (hh:mm). For example, to define a maximum span of one hour, enter 01:00.

ClosedDuring Data Collection Window, Flat-Line Interpolate

Determines whether gaps at the beginning or the end of the data collection window (DCW) are filled in with the last good value. Select the checkbox to fill in these gaps with the closest good value within the day. Clear the checkbox to skip estimation for these gaps. This parameter applies to data imported by the AMI readings import (ARI) process and by the standard readings import (SRI) process when operating in DCW mode.

For more information about configuring this estimation routine, see Configuring estimation routines: Common parameters.

By default, the linear interpolation routine operates on intervals with the following statuses:

  • EMPTY. No data exists.

  • MISSING. Missing, as marked by the meter.

  • ESTNEEDED. Estimation needed.
